The partnership will introduce solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology to EODev’s portfolio of clean, distributed and reliable power solutions, with a dedicated offer to be unveiled in September 2026.

EODev, the French clean-power company specialized in hydrogen power generation and energy-storage systems, and Baudouin, the French power solutions manufacturer, today announced a partnership to bring industrial-scale solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) power generation to market. The partnership paves the way for a new distributed-power offer, which the two companies will present in September.

Across Europe and beyond, operators of data centres, industrial sites and critical infrastructure face a common challenge: securing continuous, dependable power at a time of rising electricity demand, constrained grids and long connection delays. Renewables and storage are essential to this transition, but many sites also require an always-on, on-site source of generation to complement them.

Solid oxide fuel cells address exactly that gap. They convert natural gas, renewable gases or hydrogen directly into electricity through an electrochemical reaction. The result is high electrical efficiency, significantly lower CO₂ and near-zero air pollutants compared with combustion-based generation, together with quiet, continuous operation, connected to the grid or independent of it. Waste heat can be recovered for combined heat and power.

For EODev, the partnership is a natural extension of its strategy: combining complementary technologies into power solutions tailored to each customer’s site and constraints. Alongside its hydrogen generators and battery storage, SOFC adds the continuous baseload building block for customers who need power around the clock. Each standard system delivers 600 kW and can be combined to reach multi-megawatt power requirements.

“Our customers are not looking for a specific technology. They want power they can count on, that fits their site and helps them cut emissions,” said Stéphane Jardin, Chief Executive Officer of EODev. “SOFC lets us offer high-efficiency, lower-carbon power that runs continuously, on-site. Partnering with Baudouin gives us a trusted, industrial partner to bring this to market with the quality and support our customers expect. We look forward to sharing more in September.”

For Baudouin, the partnership extends its power-generation expertise into next-generation fuel-cell technology, delivered through a partner with deep integration and service capability.

“This partnership with EODev represents an important milestone in Baudouin’s New Energy journey,” said Fabrizio Mozzi, Chief Executive Officer of Baudouin. “By combining our expertise in critical power applications with innovative Solide Oxide Fuel Cell technology, we are expanding the range of solutions available for our customers while remaining true to our commitment to reliability, performance and the long-term energy transition. »

Under the partnership, EODev will integrate Baudouin’s SOFC solutions across Europe, with exclusive rights in France and Poland, and pursue further opportunities in international markets.

The solution is currently undergoing field validation through its pilot installations, ahead of its commercial launch in September 2026, with first customer deliveries targeted for Q1 2027.
