The National Environmental Licensing Authority (ANLA) has granted environmental approval for the Turpiales and Los Nogales solar parks located in Río de Oro, Cesar, Colombia. The projects are being developed by Gestión Grupo Solar Colombia S.A.S. The projects have a combined authorised capacity of 557.2 MWac.
Furthermore, the Turpiales solar project will have 348 MWpdc/278.6 MWac of installed capacity while the Los Nogales Photovoltaic Park will have 342.55 MWpdc/278.6 MWac of installed capacity. Turpiales and Los Nogales projects will use solar modules with an approximate unit capacity of 710 Wp, with the projects comprising 392 and 776 modules, respectively.
In April 2026, ANLA initiated the environmental assessment of the 19.9 MW DSE Neiva solar park and its 34.5 kV connection line. The project is located in Neiva, Huila, Colombia. The project is the first solar energy project to be submitted under Colombia’s LASolar mechanism for environmental licensing. LASolar mechanism applies to photovoltaic projects of 10 MW to 100 MW and cuts licensing timelines by more than 70 percent, from 90 to 25 working days.
