The Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has invited Expressions of Interest (EoIs) to establish floating solar projects across 35 dams and reservoirs in Uttar Pradesh. The deadline for bid submission is January 20, 2025.

Selected bidders will be required to survey, design, supply, install, test, and commission the floating solar projects. Additionally, they must ensure grid connectivity to the nearest substation and complete the projects within the stipulated timeframe. Developers are also responsible for obtaining and maintaining all necessary approvals, permits, and clearances throughout the lease period. They must independently arrange for power procurement. Site allocation, including dams and reservoirs, will be handled by Uttar Pradesh’s state-level committee.
