Maharashtra Moves Ahead with 100 MW Floating Solar Initiative

Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology (MAHAPREIT) has issued a request for selection (RfS) for the development of a 100 MW grid-connected floating solar project. The project will be developed at Tansa Dam or Modak Sagar Dam in Maharashtra.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work covers engineering, financing, construction, ownership, operation, and maintenance of the floating solar project. It also includes the development of evacuation infrastructure up to the interconnection point. 

The bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 54.6 million. Additionally, the successful bidder is required to furnish a performance bank guarantee of Rs 546 million. The bid submission deadline is February 12, 2026.
