Torrent Green Energy Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Torrent Power, has received two letters of award (LoA) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for developing 300 MW of interstate transmission system-connected wind power capacity under wind tranche-XVIII.
The projects, comprising 175 MW and 125 MW, have been awarded at a tariff of Rs 3.97 per kWh through a competitive bidding process. They are to be commissioned within 24 months from the signing of the power purchase agreement and will operate under a 25-year contract, with an estimated project cost is Rs 26.5 billion.
