Torrent Power to acquire Nabha Power from L&T for Rs 68.89 billion

Torrent Power Limited has entered into a definitive agreement with L&T Power Development Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Limited, to acquire 100 per cent equity stake and convertible instruments in Nabha Power Limited for a value of Rs 68.89 billion.

Nabha Power is a fully contracted thermal power asset and reported revenue of Rs 48.66 billion in 2024-25. Following completion, Torrent Power’s operational capacity is expected to increase from about 5 GW to 6.4 GW.
