Saatvik Solar to establish 3.6 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Odisha

Saatvik Solar Industries Private Limited, a material subsidiary of Saatvik Green Energy Limited, has signed an MoU with the Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited, Government of Odisha. The MoU is to establish a 3.6 GW solar cell manufacturing facility at Gopalpur in Ganjam district, Odisha.

The facility will form Phase II of Saatvik Solar’s manufacturing expansion at Gopalpur. Phase I consists of  2.4 GW of cell manufacturing capacity and 4 GW of module manufacturing capacity. For  Phase I of the facility, major construction and infrastructure works have been completed, whereas equipment installation and testing activities are underway. Furthermore,  manufacturing lines are currently being installed, tested, and validated.

Earlier, in May 2026, Saatvik Green Energy Limited secured an order worth Rs 1.71 billion for the supply of solar modules for a utility-scale solar project for a domestic independent power producer. Saatvik will supply TOPCon bifacial glass-glass solar photovoltaic modules as part of the order.
