KPI Green Energy commissions 130 MW solar capacity in Gujarat

KPI Green Energy Limited has commissioned 130 MWac/195 MWdc of solar capacity under its 370 MWac/677 MWdc wind-solar hybrid power project at Bharuch, Gujarat. With this commissioning, the company has commissioned a cumulative capacity of 269.7 MWac/389.7 MWdc under the project. The project is being developed as an independent power producer under a long-term power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.

In July 2026, KPI Green Energy commissioned 200 MWac/269 MWdc of solar capacity as part of a 300 MWac/405 MWdc grid-connected ground-mounted solar project for Coal India Limited. The project is being executed on an engineering, procurement and construction basis at Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited’s solar park in Khavda, Gujarat.

In March 2026, KPI Green Energy secured Rs 9.79 billion in financing sanction from Canara Bank for its 150 MW wind project in Gujarat. The sanction includes Rs 9.31 billion as a fresh rupee term loan and Rs 0.48 billion as a bank guarantee. The total project cost is estimated at Rs 12.41 billion, to be financed through a 75:25 debt-equity structure, with the sanctioned term loan covering the debt portion.
