PFC Consulting Limited has invited bids to evacuate 3,000 MW of power for green hydrogen and ammonia projects. Located in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, the project has been developed under a build, own, operate, and transfer model. The deadline for bid submission is May 6, 2025.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must pay a money deposit of Rs 149 million. Additionally, the developers must also provide a contract performance guarantee of Rs 372.5 million. The scope of work includes establishing a 765/400 kV, 3×1,500 MVA substation with a 240 MVAr bus reactor, integrating the Vemagiri-Srikakulam 765 kV double circuit line at the Kakinada substation, and setting up a ± 300 MVAr STATCOM system. Successful bidders will be responsible for developing, operating, and maintaining the project, which involves conducting surveys, preparing detailed project reports, securing financing, obtaining necessary clearances, and managing the overall execution. They must design, supply materials, construct, test, and commission the project while also compensating for land acquisition. The project must be completed within 24 months.
According to the eligibility criteria, the bidders must demonstrate prior experience in infrastructure projects with a minimum capital expenditure of Rs 7.45 billion over the last five financial years, with at least Rs 1.49 billion spent per project. Alternatively, they must have executed projects where aggregate payments received were at least Rs 7.45 billion over five years, with a minimum of Rs 1.49 billion per project. Additionally, they must have maintained a minimum net worth of Rs 2.98 billion over the last three financial years.
