Lhyfe has secured financial support in the form of a grant of up to €149 million from the French Government for the development of a green hydrogen production plant with an installed electrolysis capacity of 100 MW near Le Havre.

Furthermore, the European Commission granted approval for this project, which Lhyfe has been leading for more than two years, as part of the third wave of Important Projects of Common European Interest on hydrogen. The project aims to generate up to 34 tonnes of green hydrogen per day near the Grand Canal du Havre.

In January 2024, Lhyfe and Source Galileo inked a joint agreement to establish commercial-scale green and renewable hydrogen production units in the UK and Ireland. The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding with the goal of deploying hydrogen production facilities powered by renewable energy.
