Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has announced the results of its Phase IX auction for 250 MW of grid-connected wind power projects, offering an additional greenshoe option of 250 MW. KPI Green Energy secured 100 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.64 per kWh. Juniper Green Energy and JGRJ Four Renewable (Jakson Green) each won 50 MW, at a tariff of Rs 3.65 and Rs 3.66 per kWh, respectively. Inox Neo Energies (Inox Clean Energy) secured 50 MW out of its quoted 100 MW under the bucket-filling method, at a tariff of Rs 3.66 per kWh. The tender was floated in January 2025.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of the project includes designing and establishing connectivity to the state or central transmission utility via a dedicated transmission line to deliver energy to the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation’s network. Developers are required to construct and maintain the transmission line and the energy accounting infrastructure up to the interconnection point at their own expense.

Furthermore, developers are responsible for securing the required land for the project execution. They are also required to sustain a minimum capacity utilisation factor of 22 per cent. All projects must utilise commercially established technologies and wind turbine models listed in the revised list of wind turbine models and manufacturers by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
