Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) to supply 1,250 MW of energy storage capacity through a pumped hydro storage project. The PPA was signed through AGEL’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Adani Hydro Energy Five Limited, and covers supply from the Panaura pumped storage project (PSP), located in the Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh.

The Panaura PSP was awarded to AGEL by UPPCL in February 2025 and comes with a minimum commitment period of 40 years. It is expected to be completed within the next six years.
