Eolus has sold the Pienava project to Latvia’s state-owned energy company Latvenergo. Pienava is a greenfield-developed wind power project with a total capacity of 147 MW. Construction of the project is set to begin immediately, and commercial operation is planned for the first half of 2027.

The project includes 21 wind turbines with a tip height of 250 meters. It is expected to deliver up to 475 GWh of renewable electricity per year to the Baltic power grid. The deal includes both an agreement for the sale of all shares in the project company (Share Purchase Agreement) and an agreement for the project management of construction (Project Management Agreement). The total expected investment for the construction of the project amounts to approximately €215 million.
