Ceigall India Limited has secured an order from Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to set up a 50 MW standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Punjab. The project has been awarded under a tariff-based global competitive bidding process.
Furthermore, according to specifications of the order, Ceigall India will set up the 50 MW battery storage plant and will operate and maintain it for a period of 12 years. It will also supply power under a long-term battery energy storage purchase agreement. The tariff for the project is Rs 2.99 per kWh, while the estimated project cost is about Rs 1.25 billion
Earlier, in April 2026, Ceigall Green Energy MP Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ceigall India Limited, executed 15 power purchase agreements with Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited covering a total awarded solar capacity of 130 MW under the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeder Yojana.
