Bondada secures contract for 100 MWh VRFB BESS from NTPC REL

Bondada Engineering Limited has received a notification of award (NoA) from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) package for the development of a 100 MWh vanadium redox flow (VRFB) battery energy storage system (BESS) project at Khavda solar park in Gujarat. The project will be executed with Delectrik Systems Private Limited as the technology partner and includes 10 years of operation and maintenance. The project is scheduled to be completed within 10 months from the receipt of the NoA.

In June 2026, Bondada Engineering Limited received an award from NTPC REL for the EPC package of a 250 MW solar power project with a 50 MW/200 MWh BESS at Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. The contract is valued at approximately Rs 13.38 billion.
