Beyond Renewables & Recycling has secured Rs 0.05 billion pre-seed funding led by Momentum Capital. The funding will support the company’s efforts to establish a large-scale solar waste recycling ecosystem using its proprietary 95 per cent recovery technology. It will also help the company in expanding partnerships to address India’s growing 1.2 million-tonne solar waste problem.
Furthermore, this marks the company’s first external fundraise. Investors of the funding round, in addition to Momentum Capital, include Venture Catalysts, IIMA Ventures, Oorjan Cleantech, and Gautam Das, founder of Oorjan.
Beyond Renewables & Recycling is a sustainability-focused startup creating a circular economy for the solar industry. The company recycles end-of-life solar panels and recovers over 95 per cent of the constituent materials through its proprietary recycling technology. These materials include high-purity glass, silicon, silver, copper, and aluminum.
