NHPC Limited has inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) with ACME Urja One Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings Limited, for the procurement of 250 MW of firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE). The agreement has been executed under the provisions of SEBI listing regulations. Furthermore, the power supply under the agreement will be carried out in line with the terms specified in the request for selection issued by NHPC.
The project will be developed by ACME Urja One and was awarded at a tariff of Rs 4.33 per unit. As per the company release, the project will achieve commercial operation by June 30, 2027. Additionally, the power purchase agreement will be valid for a tenure of 25 years from the date of signing.
Earlier in December 2025, ACME Solar Holdings bagged a debt tie-up of Rs 47.2 billion from Indian financial institutions. Furthermore, in October 2025, ACME Solar Holdings inked a 25-year PPA with Tata Power-D, the distribution arm of Tata Power, for a 50 MW FDRE project.
