SJVN Green Energy Limited has commenced operations for 241.77 MW solar project. This is a part of company’s 1,000 MW solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The capacity has successfully completed trial runs and is now operational, with the project reportedly set for full commissioning on April 2, 2025.
The project is being developed in phases, with the total planned capacity of 1,000 MW expected to be fully operational by September 30, 2025. Upon completion, the solar power generated from this project will be supplied to Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, and Uttarakhand.
In March 2025, SJVN Limited signed an MoU with the government of Chhattisgarh and Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited to develop a 1,800 MW pumped hydro storage project in Balrampur, with an estimated Rs 95 billion investment.
