New Delhi : VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) Limited, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, signed a definitive agreement with Baidyanath-LNG during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The agreement calls for the deployment of 500 Eicher Pro 6055 LNG Trucks with Baidyanath LNG Private Limited.
The agreement builds on the initial MOU of August 26, 2024, signed during the inauguration of Baidyanath LNG station in Nagpur, at which Honorable Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Mr. Nitin Gadkari, had flagged off the first fleet of Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks.
The agreement aims to bolster the LNG ecosystem in India by facilitating the deployment of LNG trucks with customers, training service technicians for LNG technology, and development of LNG fueling network at locations across Central India. This partnership underscores a shared commitment to enabling India’s long-haul transport segment to transition to cleaner fuel alternatives.

The Pro 6055 LNG truck is equipped with Volvo Group’s globally proven engine technology, featuring a VEGX8 6-cylinder engine that produces 260HP of power at 2200RPM and delivers a torque of 1000Nm between 1100-1800RPM. The vehicle’s state-of-the-art cabin, equipped with HVAC and an air-suspended driver seat, ensures superior comfort and enhances driver productivity.
