Suzlon has secured a 204.75 MW wind energy order from Jindal Green Wind 1 Private Limited, a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables. As part of this order, Suzlon will supply 65 S144 wind turbine generators with hybrid lattice towers, each rated at 3.15 MW capacity.
The order will be executed in the Karur region of Tamil Nadu. The energy generated will be used for captive consumption in steel plants located in Chhattisgarh and Odisha, reinforcing the push for sustainable industrial operations. This marks Suzlon’s third order from the company, bringing Suzlon’s total commercial and industrial order capacity to 907.20 MW.
In October 2024, Suzlon Group received a 400 MW order from JSP Green Wind 1 Private Limited, a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables Power as well, with Suzlon supplying 127 wind turbine generators of 3.15 MW each in Karnataka’s Koppal region.
