SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has issued a tender inviting bids for the purchase/lease of land for a period of 28 years in the 765/400/220 kV Bikaner-IV Pooling Station area, Rajasthan. Solar power plants of 500 MW generation capacity will be set up on the 2,000 acres of land. The last date for submission of bids is September 3, 2004.
The earnest money deposit is Rs 4 million for 400 acres, Rs 8 million for 800 acres, Rs 12 million for 1,200 acres, Rs 16 million for 1,600 acres and Rs 20 million for 2,000 acres and above. Also, a non-refundable tender document fee of Rs 5,000 has to be submitted.
In January 2024, SGEL had signed a power usage agreement with Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited to deliver 200 MW of solar power to be supplied from a 1,000 MW Bikaner project in Rajasthan. In November 2023, SGEL had signed a power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 200 MW grid-connected wind power project. The company won the engineering, procurement, and construction contract from SECI under tariff-based competitive bidding process at a tariff of Rs 3.24 per kWh.
