Serentica Renewables has announced plans to develop 10,000 MW of renewable energy projects in Andhra Pradesh, combining solar, wind, and storage technologies to deliver round-the-clock green power. This initiative aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s goal of reaching 72,000 MW renewable capacity by 2030.

The company’s 10,000 MW project will integrate solar, wind, and storage systems. Reportedly, Serentica is targeting an expansion of its renewable energy portfolio to 17,000 MW by 2030, with 5,000 MWh of storage capacity planned. Of this, 4,000 MW is anticipated to become operational by 2025.

Furthermore, Serentica has partnered with Greenko Group for a storage offtake arrangement, securing 1,500 MWh from upcoming projects in Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, along with an additional 3,500 MWh of battery storage. The project forms part of Serentica’s wider strategy to deliver 50 billion units of renewable energy annually by 2030, which is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 47 million tonnes.

In March 2024, Serentica Renewables secured investment worth Rs 35 billion from foreign banks to finance the construction of its 530 MW wind-solar hybrid project, located in Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
