SECI floats tender for 45.6 MW wind project in Andhra Pradesh

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, and construction of a 45.6 MW grid-connected wind project at Ramagiri in Sri Sathya Sai district, Andhra Pradesh. The 45.6 MW wind project is being tendered as package-2 of the 50 MW firm and despatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project. The FDRE project has been divided into two packages. Package-1 comprises a 70 MW solar power plant coupled with a 25 MW/50 MWh battery energy storage system, while package-2 comprises the 45.6 MW wind power project.

According to the tender specifications, the scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of wind turbine generators, towers, foundations, unit substations, power and control cables, a 33 kV overhead transmission system up to the pooling substation, a data acquisition system up to the project supervisory control and data acquisition system, and obtaining statutory approvals related to the wind package. The project will use low-voltage, 50 Hz, horizontal-axis wind turbine generators with a minimum capacity of 3 MW. Additionally, it will have a design life of 25 years and will include a 10-year maintenance contract.

Furthermore, the bidders are required to submit a bid processing fee of Rs 25,000, and an earnest money deposit of Rs 84.36 million. The deadline for bid submission is August 17, 2026.
