RP Global, a European renewables developer, sets forth to build a 50 MW solar farm in southern Croatia, according to the country’s ministry of economy and sustainable development, which received the project’s modified environmental impact assessment.

According to their petition to the government, the Austria-based company proposed to reorganise the solar farm and deploy stronger photovoltaic modules, increasing the plant’s capacity from 40 MW as initially intended. Ljutine, the solar project, is intended to be situated in Split-Dalmatia County’s town of Ljubitovica. The project is being overseen by RP Global Projekti doo, the company’s Croatian division.

In 2002, RP Global made its way to Croatia. According to the company’s statement, it has subsequently designed and constructed two wind farms in the nation with a total capacity of 78 MW, and it has expanded its local portfolio to include solar projects.
