RCT GH GmbH, also known as RCT Hydrogen, has received approval to begin manufacturing electrolyser stacks in Thuringia, Germany. The production will initially support MW-scale hydrogen projects for German industrial customers under a hydrogen-as-a-service model. Additionally, systems with individual electrolyser capacities exceeding 30 MW are currently under planning. The start of manufacturing follows cooperation agreements signed on December 22, 2025, between RCT Hydrogen and an unnamed production partner located in eastern Germany to prepare the required production infrastructure for hydrogen equipment.

The planned manufacturing facility will have an annual electrolyser production capacity of 250 MW. Production is scheduled to commence with the installation of a 2.5 MW electrolyser in the first quarter of 2026. Delivery and commissioning of the electrolysers are planned for the third quarter of 2026 at a German industrial company. Moreover, the production approach is designed to enable cost-efficient green hydrogen generation through the use of optimised manufacturing equipment, supported by RCT Hydrogen’s Chinese partner, Guofuhee, which supplies several key components.

Moreover, RCT Hydrogen has established partnerships across the full value chain. The company is collaborating with Siemens Digital Industries, part of SIEMENS AG, for the development of control components and process software used in hydrogen production systems. This cooperation includes the application of programmable logic controller-based solutions, covering both hardware and software. These systems are intended to manage electricity and energy flows and are also positioned as a key element for ensuring overall plant safety.
