PT PLN (Persero) has completed the construction of Southeast Asia’s first green hydrogen production plant called the Kamojang Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) in Indonesia.

This is Perseros’s 22nd Green Hydrogen Plant (GHP) which is developed at the new renewable energy (EBT) facility and will provide green hydrogen to the Senayan Hydrogen Refuelling Station. The plant is expected to generate around 4.3 tonnes of green hydrogen annually. Additionally, PLN now operates 22 GHPs across the country, producing 203 tonnes of green hydrogen annually. The production was outlined, with 75 tonnes meeting the operational needs, and 128 tonnes for the development of the hydrogen vehicle ecosystem. The green hydrogen produced is expected to fuel 438 cars annually, reducing imported fuel energy by 1.59 million litres annually.
