Power Mech Wins Rs 5.63 Billion Contract for Nuclear Plant Construction

Power Mech Projects Limited has secured an order worth Rs 5.63 billin from Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) to construct a nuclear power plant.

The order is for civil structural and architectural works of turbine island package of 2×700 MWe pressurized heavy-water reactor Kaiga Atomic Power Project, Unit 5 and 6, Uttara Kannada District, Karnataka. The scope of work includes a number of segments covering civil, electrical, and structural works, including turbine generator building, foundation for all equipment, chemical lab, storage tanks, peripheral drains, and sewage network. The duration of the contract is 32 months, plus 12 months of guarantee period.
