The Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has announced a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 4 MW rooftop solar projects with integrated battery systems. According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to pay a bid security of Rs 300,000, a bid cost of Rs 10,500, and a processing fee of Rs 1,000.The selected contractors will be responsible for designing, engineering, supplying, installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining the rooftop solar systems. The scope also includes complete lifecycle management and integration with battery systems. A comprehensive maintenance agreement for a five-year period following the project commissioning is mandatory.
According to the eligibility criteria, the bidders must have previously worked on rooftop or ground-mounted solar projects with at least 500 kW capacity. For bidders registered in Odisha, the minimum required experience is 200 kW capacity. Additionally, bidders must have a positive turnover for the financial year 2024. Category B bidders are required to have a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 20 million during the financial years 2022, 2023, and 2024. The modules used in the projects must be listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Delays in project execution will attract penalties, including liquidated damages, as per the general conditions of the contract.
