NTPC Limited has commissioned second and last part capacity of 33 MW out of 90 MW Anta solar photovoltaic project at Anta, Rajasthan. With this, the total installed and commercial capacity of NTPC on standalone and group basis has become 59,168 MW and 76,048 MW, respectively.
In May 2024, results were announced for NTPC Limited’s auction to develop 1,500 MW of inter-state transmission system connected solar power projects, tranche III. The projects will be located across India. Apraava Energy has won 50 MW by quoting the lowest tariff of Rs 2.68 per kWh. Other companies have won the following capacities: Avaada Energy – 750 MW, JSW Energy – 400 MW, and ReNew – 300 MW, by quoting a tariff of Rs 2.69 per kWh.
