Results for NTPC Limited’s auction to develop 1,500 MW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected solar power projects, tranche III, have been announced. The tender for the project was issued in February 2024. The projects will be located across India. Apraava Energy has won 50 MW by quoting the lowest tariff of Rs 2.68 per kWh. Other companies have won the following capacities: Avaada Energy – 750 MW, JSW Energy – 400 MW, and ReNew – 300 MW, by quoting a tariff of Rs 2.69 per kWh.
Recently, in May 2024, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited issued tender for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package for 225 MW grid-connected solar projects. The projects will be developed in the renewable energy park at Khavda under Stage 3.
