Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd., a Grade-A Top Tier-1 Global Solar Manufacturer and a leading solar EPC and module manufacturing company in India, has successfully executed a large-scale 142 MWp ground-mounted solar project for Coal India Limited at Bhadramali village in Deesa taluka of Banaskantha district, Gujarat. Initiated to support India’s growing energy demand through cleaner and more sustainable sources, this utility-scale project reflects Coal India Limited’s strategic diversification into renewable energy and Kosol Energie’s role in enabling this transition. The utility-scale project marks a significant milestone in Kosol’s expanding portfolio and reinforces its contribution to India’s clean energy transformation.

The project has been successfully executed, with Kosol Energie taking over and completing a partially executed scope. Originally a stalled and re-tendered project, it involved significant complexities, including legacy execution gaps, unresolved land acquisition issues, and right-of-way constraints for transmission infrastructure. Leveraging over 15 years of experience in executing large-scale utility solar projects, Kosol Energie efficiently navigated these challenges and accelerated the installation and commissioning (I&C) pace, completing the project in just 9 months. Despite these complexities, the company ensured consistent progress while maintaining high standards of quality and timelines, ultimately reinforcing strong client confidence and satisfaction.

The project integrates advanced, high-efficiency technologies designed to deliver optimal performance and long-term reliability. It features 610 Wp monocrystalline TOPCon bifacial modules with 144 solar cells, enabling enhanced energy generation through improved efficiency and bifacial gain. The NTOPCON solar modules produced by Kosol come with world-class quality assurance owing to its high standards of raw material selection, along with the advanced robotic-controlled fully automated solar module manufacturing process.

Moreover, Kosol’s N-TOPCon modules incorporate a unique POE–POE encapsulation around the solar cells, effectively protecting them from dust and moisture ingress while ensuring minimal degradation. This advanced design offers high resistance to PID, LID, LeTID, and MID, thereby assuring sustained high performance and energy generation for over 30 years. Kosol solar modules have earned a world-class, award-winning reputation and strong customer confidence, supported by a proven track record of reliable electricity generation for more than 15 years.

Beyond its technical excellence, the project has made a meaningful socio-economic impact in the region. A substantial portion of the work has been executed using local manpower, generating employment opportunities and supporting the regional economy. Kosol Energie has also engaged local rental construction equipment, further contributing to community participation. In addition to temporary construction jobs, the project is expected to create long-term employment opportunities in operations, maintenance, and site security, fostering sustainable livelihood development in the area.

Speaking on the progress of the project, Mr. Kalpesh Kalthia, CMD of Kosol Energie, said, “Taking over and advancing a complex, partially completed project of this scale reflects our core strengths in execution, resilience, and technical expertise. At Kosol, we are committed to delivering projects that not only meet but exceed client expectations, even under challenging conditions. This project for Coal India Limited is a testament to our capability to drive large-scale renewable energy transformation while creating value for local communities and contributing to India’s sustainability goals.”
