ITM Power has signed a supply agreement and binding heads of terms for a long-term services agreement with MorGen Energy for the 20 MW West Wales hydrogen project in Milford Haven, UK. The project has secured the necessary permits. Commercial terms with project stakeholders also are close to being finalised, with the final investment decision expected before the end of 2025. Additionally, it has been awarded funding under the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero’s Hydrogen Allocation Round 1 (HAR1) programme.
The company will reportedly deploy its 20 MW modular electrolyser platform, POSEIDON, for the project. The project is located on the former Milford Haven Refinery site and will supply hydrogen to industrial clusters in Milford Haven, Port Talbot, and other locations in Wales. It will also support the development of green transport in the region.
In June 2025, Hydropulse GmbH, ITM Power’s green hydrogen venture, partnered with Eternal Power GmbH to accelerate industrial hydrogen project deployment across Germany. In the same month, ITM Power signed the Front-End Engineering Design contract for Uniper’s 120 MW Humber H2ub project, to deploy six 20 MW POSEIDON core electrolysis modules.
