IOCL Tenders for 2.75 MW Solar Plant in Trichy

The Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible bidders for setting up of 2.75 MW ground-mounted solar power project at the firms’ LPG bottling plant in Trichy, Tamil Nadu.

IOCL proposes to set up the 2.75 MWp solar project for captive consumption at multiple IOCL locations across Tamil Nadu through the Open Access Agreement and Energy Wheeling Agreement. The project will be done through an EPC Contractor on LSTK basis.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work on the grid-connected solar project. Which will be followed by 5 years of comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the plant, from the date of successful commissioning.

The commissioning of the full capacity of the project must be completed within nine months from the date of the site handing over.

The last date for bid submission is September 22, 2020, and the techno-commercial buds will be opened on September 23, 2020. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for September 15, 2020, to address the concerns raised by the prospective bidders. All bidders will be required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 9.6 lakh along with their bids, and there is no MSME preference under this tender.

Further, the manufacturer’s warranty for all bought out items shall be made available to the Owner and shall be valid for the entire defect liability period. And, the Manufacturer’s/Contractor’s warranty, for any replaced item shall also be made available to the Owner and shall be kept valid for the original warranty period.

The Photovoltaic modules shall have a product warranty of a minimum of 10 years and a performance warranty of 25 years from the date of commissioning and the inverters / PCUs shall be warranted for 5 years from the date of commissioning and the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System shall be warranted for minimum 5 years.
