Greenstat Begins Construction of 20 MW Hydrogen Plant in Norway

Greenstat has started building a 20 MW green hydrogen production plant at the Agder Hydrogen Hub in Fiskå, Norway. Furthermore, Aragon has been announced as the engineering partner for the project and will be responsible for preparing the plant’s design and assisting in the selection of equipment and service suppliers. Additionally, Repstad will commence foundation work for a new quay at the site to support the plant’s operations.

The project is expected to be complete in two years, with hydrogen production anticipated to begin by the end of 2026.The plant will provide green hydrogen for ships along the Norwegian shoreline, as well as for emission-free vehicles and construction equipment in the area.

In 2022, the Agder Hydrogen Hub project received up to USD 13.7 million in financing from Enova for its development and construction. The construction for this project is expected to last for two years. Further, the hydrogen produced at this project will be used for maritime and heavy transport.
