Gentari Renewables India has acquired a 1.6 GW portfolio of solar and wind assets from Brookfield Asset Management.
The transaction is structured in two phases, with the first phase involving the acquisition of 1 GW of operating assets now complete. This acquisition strengthens Gentari’s renewable energy footprint in India, reinforcing its commitment to the country’s energy transition. The portfolio comprises a mix of solar and wind assets, aligning with Gentari’s strategy to expand its clean energy capacity. Brookfield remains a key investor in India’s renewable sector, with approximately 40 GW of wind and solar assets in operation, construction, and development.
