Mumbai: Two of the architects behind India’s modern live comedy touring ecosystem, Rishabh Nahar and Ankur Kaushik, have come together to launch Beacon Live, a live entertainment touring company with ambitions to shape the next era of global and domestic live experiences.

Drawing on years of leadership at Only Much Louder (OML), where they helped scale artist touring, international expansion, and landmark live milestones, the founders now turn their focus toward building artist-first infrastructure, global touring pathways, and original live properties under the Beacon Live banner. During their time at OML, and under organisational leadership, they also managed and worked closely with a range of prominent artists including Tanmay Bhat, Samay Raina, Biswa K Rath, Rohan Joshi, Sumukhi Suresh, Suhani Shah and more, reflecting the scale and diversity of talent they have operated alongside within the ecosystem.

Over the past decade, Nahar and Kaushik have been closely involved in the evolution of India’s comedy and live entertainment landscape, developing scalable touring models, commercially viable comedy IPs, and international promoter networks that enabled Indian artists to perform across more than sixty global markets. Their work expanded domestic touring across multiple cities, pioneered IP formats that sold over 100,000 tickets, and helped take Indian comedy to global stages including Madison Square Garden, Royal Albert Hall, Scotiabank Arena, Sydney Opera House, and Dubai Opera, while also contributing to large-scale touring ecosystems around leading artists such as Zakir Khan. This work has been supported by longstanding international relationships and partnerships across key global organisations including UTA, Outback Presents, Soho Theatre, Live Nation, AEG, BookMyShow, and TribeVibe, enabling cross-market collaboration and global programming access.

With Beacon Live, the focus shifts from category building within an organisation to independently shaping the next phase of live entertainment growth across markets and formats. The company is positioned as a full-spectrum touring and promotions partner operating across comedy, music, and emerging performance formats, with capabilities spanning domestic and international touring, IP and festival development, cross-border programming, consulting, and strategic advisory.

Beacon Live builds on that foundation with a clear vision: to create more structured, scalable, and artist-centric touring ecosystems across comedy, music, and emerging performance formats. The company will focus on developing cross-market touring pathways, producing original live IPs, and collaborating with promoters, platforms, and partners to deliver consistently high-quality live experiences. Its approach prioritises long-term audience building, operational discipline, and transparent partnerships, areas the founders believe are critical to the next phase of industry growth.

At its core, Beacon Live aims to operate differently by combining execution depth with global access and ecosystem perspective — treating touring not as isolated event production, but as sustained market development for artists and audiences alike. This includes enabling Indian

talent to reach wider geographies, facilitating international collaborations, and contributing to the evolution of programming, infrastructure, and live experience design across the sector.

Speaking on the launch, Rishabh Nahar, Co Founder of Beacon Live said, “We’ve had the privilege of building within the ecosystem at a time when comedy and live touring were still finding their footing. After years of helping scale live formats and global touring pathways, Beacon Live is a natural extension of that journey. Beacon Live is rooted in the belief that the live industry can operate with greater depth of expertise, stronger execution discipline, and long-term ecosystem thinking. We’re bringing together everything we’ve learned, networks, credibility, and perspective to create sustainable opportunities for artists and partners at scale.”

Ankur Kaushik, Co Founder of Beacon Live added, “Our journey has been defined by growing alongside the artists and audiences that shaped this space. That proximity gave us insight into the structural gaps and opportunities within touring, programming, and experience building. Beacon Live is an artist-, consumer-, and experience-first company, and that principle informs every decision we make, from developing new formats to expanding global access for Indian talent and supporting the evolution of live infrastructure. We see this as a long-term commitment to strengthening the ecosystem rather than just participating in it.”

As live entertainment in India enters a phase marked by increased institutional recognition, infrastructure investment, and global collaboration, Beacon Live positions itself at the intersection of experience, access, and execution. By leveraging deep industry relationships and operational expertise, the company aims to accelerate the global movement of Indian artists, introduce international performers to domestic audiences, and build scalable live properties that reflect the next chapter of audience demand and cultural exchange.
