Evonik and VoltH2 have inked a term sheet to advance green hydrogen production at the Delfzijl chemical park. Under this agreement, VoltH2 will construct a 50 MW electrolyser near Evonik’s hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) plant. Evonik will source a significant share of its hydrogen requirements from this facility. Commercial operations for the project will commence at the end of 2027.

Furthermore, for the interim period, Evonik’s will fulfill its remaining hydrogen needs from its own conventional on-site hydrogen production. Additionally, VoltH2 will establish a tube trailer filling station within Evonik’s premises. The hydrogen in the trailer will be made available to VoltH2’s customers around the clock.
