The Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) has floated a tender for the development of 600 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid projects. The projects will be developed under a build-own-operate model.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work encompasses setting up the wind–solar hybrid projects. It also includes establishing the transmission network up to the interconnection point. Furthermore, the scope includes securing land, installing and operating the projects, and obtaining the necessary approvals. The electricity produced from these projects will support CESC in fulfilling its renewable power and consumption commitments. Additionally, CESC will ink a 25-year power purchase agreement with the shortlisted bidders.
