BC Jindal Group to Invest ₹150 Billion in Renewable Energy Component Manufacturing

BC Jindal Group has announced its entry into the renewable energy component manufacturing sector with a planned investment of Rs 150 billion by 2030.

The group, which has an annual turnover exceeding Rs 180 billion, aims to establish production capacities across the solar and battery storage segments.  In the first phase, the group will invest Rs 40 billion. This phase will include setting up 2 GW solar cell and module manufacturing capacity, a 4 GWh battery storage facility, and a solar glass production unit with a capacity of 1,200 tonnes per day. Maharashtra and Gujarat have been shortlisted as potential locations for establishing these facilities.
