Bondada Engineering Limited has received approval to develop a 2.6 GWp solar power project in Andhra Pradesh. The project will be implemented across several locations in the Ananthapuramu and Sri Sathya Sai districts.
The total engineering, procurement and construction value of the project is Rs 90 billion, reportedly. The project will be executed through the company’s subsidiary, Bondada Renewable Energy. The total solar capacity allocated is subject to conditions that prevent any overlap with areas already assigned to other renewable energy developers or regions undergoing wind resource assessment studies.
The solar project is scheduled for completion within 24 months, in line with the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy Policy, 2024. Furthermore, with this addition, Bondada Engineering’s order book has increased to over Rs 140 billion.
