JSW Thermal Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has placed an order with its associate company, Toshiba JSW Power Systems Private Limited, for two 800 MW steam turbine generators. The order has been placed for Phase II of the Salboni Thermal Power Project in West Bengal.
With this order, JSW Energy has completed the placement of turbine-generator equipment orders for the entire 3,200 MW Salboni project, comprising four 800 MW units. The company had earlier placed orders for the two Phase I units in January 2026. The turbine-generator equipment will be manufactured and supplied in line with the project’s construction schedule.
