NTPC REL Signs 1,200 MW Solar PPA with PTC India

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with PTC India Limited. The agreement is for the sale of 1,200 MW of solar power under a bilateral arrangement.  

Earlier in May 2026, NTPC REL floated a tender for the balance of system package for the development of 900 MW of grid-connected solar projects at Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The projects comprise one 500 MW and one 400 MW solar project.

Furthermore, in April 2026, NTPC REL signed a green ammonia purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited. Under the agreement, NTPC REL will supply 70,000 tonnes per annum of green ammonia to Krishna Phoschem Limited’s facility in Meghnagar, Madhya Pradesh.
