Bluebird Solar has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Rohit Tikku as Chief Executive Officer, reinforcing the company’s aggressive expansion plans across solar manufacturing, EPC solutions, and battery energy storage.
The announcement comes at a time when India’s renewable energy sector is witnessing strong growth driven by government initiatives, rising energy demand, and increasing adoption of high-efficiency solar technologies.
Rohit Tikku brings extensive industry experience from companies including Vikram Solar, Trina Solar, Reliance Industries, and ReNew. His appointment is expected to accelerate Bluebird Solar’s transition into a fully integrated renewable energy company.
Under the vision of “Bluebird Solar 2.0,” the company aims to establish a 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in India while scaling its production of advanced N-Type TOPCon solar panels. The company also plans to revive and expand its EPC business and enter the rapidly growing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) market.
According to company leadership, the expansion strategy is designed to support India’s clean energy transition and strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities under the Make in India initiative.
“Bluebird Solar has built a strong foundation in solar PV manufacturing, and we now aim to create a future-ready renewable energy platform,” said Rohit Tikku. “Our focus will remain on innovation, operational excellence, and delivering reliable energy solutions for the Indian and global markets.”
