The Telangana government has inaugurated the 800 MW unit 1 of the Yadadri thermal power station and commissioned the second unit of the 4,000 MW (5×800 MW) public sector thermal project.
The project is being developed by Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited and is billed as the largest thermal power plant in the public sector. The unit 3 is expected to be commissioned by October which is followed by unit 4 in December with the full 4,000 MW project to be dedicated by January 2026.
