Himachal Pradesh Releases Tender for New Solar Project

The Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation (HPPCL) has issued a request for proposals for commissioning of a 8 MW solar project. The project will be located at Bada Basot in Solan, Himachal Pradesh.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes the entire process from beginning to commissioning, including operations and maintenance for a duration of eight years. The bidders are required to furnish Rs 10 million as an earnest money deposit. The bid submission deadline is August 14, 2024.

In July 2024, the Himachal Pradesh government laid the foundation stone of 10 MW solar power project at Aghlor in Una district of the state.

In December 2023, HPPCL issued tender for developing solar power projects with a combined capacity of 50 MW in the state.
