SECI Issues Tender for Green Ammonia Production under SIGHT

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a request for proposals for manufacturing and delivery of green ammonia. The project will be located in India. The tender has been issued as a part of Strategic Intervention for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) programme.

According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to submit Rs 5,000 per million tonnes (MT) as an earnest money deposit, corresponding to the combined yearly production and supply capacity of green ammonia for the projects being quoted. The developers are required to furnish Rs 12,500 per MT as a performance bank guarantee, corresponding to the combined yearly production and supply capacity of green ammonia for the projects being allocated. The bid submission deadline is July 29, 2024.

The bidders are required to adhere to the supply schedule for the production and delivery of green ammonia. The yearly production and supply criteria apply throughout the entirety of the green ammonia purchase agreement. The supplier is required to ensure that the quantity provided meets a minimum 90 per cent of the annual requirement outlined by the procurer for the agreement’s duration. The yearly provision of green ammonia will be computed for every contractual year, starting from the moment the production facility commences the supply of green ammonia.
