Powergrid receives LoI for two transmission projects

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) has received letter of intent (LoI) for two transmission projects namely, “Transmission System for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ PhaseIV (Part-2: 5.5 GW) (Jaisalmer/ Barmer Complex): Part B” and “Transmission System for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ PhaseIV (Part-2: 5.5 GW) (Jaisalmer/ Barmer Complex): Part D”.

The scope of the first project includes establishment of new 765/400 kV sub-station near Sirohi in Rajasthan, 765kV & 400kV D/C transmission lines and associated bays extension works at existing substations in the state of Rajasthan. The second project comprises establishment of 765kV D/C transmission line and associated bays extension works at existing substations in the state of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
