Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) with SJVN for a 460 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project. TPREL will build a hybrid renewable energy plant consisting of suitable capacities of solar, wind, and battery storage elements to fulfill the 460 MW FDRE demand. This setup will allow the plant to dispatch power as required by distribution companies during peak periods, thus ensuring grid stability.

Recently, in April 2024, Tata Power Solar Systems Limited collaborated with Indian Bank to provide residential customers installing rooftop solar systems with a collateral-free loan. In the same month, Juniper Green Energy signed a PPA with Tata Power to set up an 85 MW wind-solar hybrid power project.

In March 2024, Tata Power Solar Systems Limited commissioned a solar-and-battery energy storage systems project at Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh.
