SJVN Signs Agreement with APDCL for Renewable Energy Projects

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has entered into a joint venture (JV) cum shareholders agreement with Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL). The agreement pertains to the establishment of renewable energy projects or parks within the jurisdiction of APDCL, SGEL, or SJVN. This initiative is set to be executed across India and will take the form of a JV, with SGEL and APDCL holding shares at a ratio of 51:49, respectively.

Recently, in April 2024, SJVN Limited issued a tender for comprehensive operation and maintenance of 47.6 MW Khirvire wind project in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. The duration of O&M will be five years. In the same month, SGEL issued tender to commission a 100 MW solar project in the Didwana-Kuchaman district of Rajasthan. Furthermore, SJVN Limited issued tender for appointment of developers to deliver inter-state transmission system connected 600 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy with storage. The tender also includes an additional green shoe option of 600 MW.
