Chhattisgarh Inaugurates Largest Solar Plant in Rajnandgaon

Chhattisgarh has inaugurated the nation’s largest solar energy plant featuring a cutting-edge battery energy storage system, situated near Dhaba village in Rajnandgaon district.

This solar facility has a capacity of 100 MW has been developed jointly by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) and Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited. Remarkably, the plant ensures uninterrupted electricity supply, even after sundown, producing over 500,000 units daily. This initiative is projected to reduce carbon emissions by 450,000 metric tonnes, significantly bolstering the state’s green energy footprint.
